Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. In late July myself, Hugh Buxton, Sebastian Wood, George Williams and Bertie Alexander trekked up the highest peaks in England, Wales and Scotland respectively in twenty three hours and thirty five minutes. They are, in order, as follows: Scafell Pike (978m) in the Lake district, Snowdon (1,085) in Snowdonia and Ben Nevis (1,345m) in the Grampian Mountains. Thank you so much to Henrietta Buxton, the unsung hero of the team for giving her time to get us to the various peaks. This page has been set up to represent us all collectively. We are raising money for the Heaton Ellis Trust, partly in memory of Charles Harbord-Hamond who sadly passed away earlier this year; a godfather to one of our group and a family friend to another. We as a group collectively believe that this is an incredibly worthwhile cause to support. Further to our walk, our boarding house at school has chosen this charity as its designated charity for next years fundraising. Therefore, our fundraising will also continue in the form of bake and goods sales, home clothes days etc. next academic year.
