I have made more than fifty films on police and criminal justice issues and written three books and many articles about it. I have had a lifelong interest in criminal justice and penal policy, hence my support for the Howard League.   I was an advisor for many years. The drastic cuts restricting access to justice undermine any good intentions towards rehabilitation. The penal system doesn’t work, doesn’t make our communities safer and fails to reduce offending.  This is why I support the Howard League so it can continue to help achieve real change for the next 150 years.
