From all those involved in the operation of Hearts and Balls, but more importantly from those who benefit, I would like to offer our condolences for the loss of Alex and thank his parents and his brothers Ed and Tom for considering Hearts and Balls a suitable charity to support at this incredibly difficult time. 

Rugby brings immense pleasure and a sense of community to millions of people. But, occasionally, it brings tragedy instead – like many other sports. Though it happens very rarely, injuries can be serious and life-changing. Hearts and Balls aims to ensure that, in times of need, those connected with rugby are supported by the wider rugby community. Hearts and Balls also helps those disadvantaged from the game through illness and bereavement and although Scotland based had provided support in England, Wales, Australia the USA and Romania.

With the exception of some targeted event marketing expenses, there are no 

other costs taken from our funds.
