On the 10th day of Muharram, year 61 AH, a battle took place. A battle that changed the course of humanity...
The story of Karbala unveils on the 10th day of Muharram, the first month of the Islamic calendar. Help us spread the story of Imam Hussain (a.s), his family and his companions.
We're raising money for the 10th day campaign, which raises awareness of the tragedy of Karbala. This year we are expanding all over the North West of England including cities like Manchester, Burnley, Bradford, Leeds, Newcastle, Sunderland, Middlesborough and various other towns.
As an idea, each:
Flag costs £100
Superside bus advert costs £110
Rear advert costs £60
Our target is 72 flags, 72 supersides and 72 rears. Please support us as much as possible.
Our Inspiration: Imam Hussain (AS)
When Imam Hussain (as) left behind the comfort of his home for the one final time, his aims were simple, his mission clear: to restore justice, to reform humanity and to re-establish the rights of the common man.
He sacrificed everything he had: the blood of his own heart, his children, his friends and dearest companions. To the extent that after his killing, his tents were plundered and looted, as his orphaned daughters, bereaved sisters and scattered retinue sought sanctuary in the wilderness of the desert.
In his final loneliness on that day in Karbala Imam Hussain (as) raised a heartbreaking cry:
"Is there anyone who will come to my aid".
Alas, no aid came.
The cry he raised resonates to this day, appealing to the faculties of human compassion and empathy.
