Africa Foundation has operated for over 20 years in rural communities surrounding conservation areas, believing that uplifting and empowering communities are the key to wilderness preservation.

In line with our commitment to conservation, we are supporting the ‘Rhinos Without Borders’ translocation project, which aims to increase the number of rhino in Botswana’s  Okavango Delta which has proved to be a suitable and safe environment for this endangered species.

Africa Foundation, in partnership with Great Plains Conservation and &Beyond – who have made a significant contribution to the protection of the rhino for more than 20 years under the direction of Les Carlisle, the Head of Conservation and a Trustee of Africa Foundation – have launched an appeal to translocate up to 100 rhinos from South Africa to Botswana.
