Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit The Superhero Challenge page.

Children with rare or undiagnosed medical conditions can face huge challenges and obstacles as they group up. The endless hospital visits, lack of information and sense of isolation can be overwhelming.

Through the power of fitness, we aim to raise £100,000 for Birmingham's Children Hospital Charity's Star Appeal, helping create the UK's first centre for children with rare diseases. This will help provide co-ordinate care, treatment and support to help brighten the lives of our little stars.

The Challenge

We aim to break the Guiness World Record for 'The Longest Workout Ever', weight training non-stop for 26 hours.

Three teams of two will enter the gym Sunday morning putting their all into a brutal training regime for 26 hours straight.

Team 1 - Optimus Prime (Lenny Scarlett) & The Hulk (Jim Fixter)
Team 2 - Ironman (Albert Foresythe) & Batman (Daniel Joseph)
Team 3 - Superman (Dougy Reid) & Wolverine (Carlos Campbell)

Get behind your favourite superhero and sponsor them for a very worthy cause.

Clive and Scott Evans, owners of Chainwork's Gym have generously offered us their facility for the challenge.

About the charity

It's bewildering and unsettling for anyone going into hospital but especially for children and that is why we are a fundraising hospital.
