Story
We are undertaking a trek up Snowdon to help raise awareness for our Birmingham Centre based in the historic TV Gardens at Kings Heath Park and to raise fund for horticultural materials to support our projects.
Our current and aspirational future projects include:
Grow and Learn - a 2 year programme for students aged 14-19 with learning and physical disabilities who gain a City & Guilds Level 1 in Practical Horticulture Skills
Life After Stroke - a 12 week programme for stroke survivors
Sow & Grow - a short programme delivered in the local community for the over 50's
Working with Women - a 12 week programme working with women who have suffered domestic abuse
Our Trekkers are: Amanda Fields, Jacob Hickman, Rachel Jeyes, Glenda Kelleher, Malcom Payne & Deborah Stubbs.
All of our volunteers, staff and friends who are unable to undertake the trek will be supporting us by helping with the fundraising so a big thank you to everyone taking part.
See how we are getting on with our training in our blog: https://thrivebirmingham.wordpress.com/
We have a £2,000 target so your support will be of tremendous help for our centre.
