Story
In August 2012, Andrew 'Slips' Moore, Danny 'Leper' Pepper will pull on their lycra, attach their knee pads and jump upon their shiny new cycles for a ride from the Big Smoke to Gay Paris.
Amazingly, the challenge is totally self planned and funded. There is no organizing body pre-booking their accommodation, carrying their luggage, arranging food, helping with bike repairs and perhaps more importantly, no-one is planning on rubbing soothing Vaseline on the chafing thighs at the end of each day – but hay, they might be helping each other with those hard to reach places.
They are simply two men on their bikes living off their wits and cunning, hoping to cycle 211.61 miles from London to Paris to raise money for an amazing charity.
The Local charity they have chosen is St Michaels Hospice. They are a wonderful charity offering high quality palliative care and support to the communities of Hastings and Rother.
Because the trip is completely self-funded every single penny donated will be given straight to Charity. Not one penny will go to a third party planning the event. T
his is a 100% off their own backs in order to make a difference to a worthwhile charity.
As with our previous FUNdraising events. We will not ask you for money and bombared you with requests. At FUNdraising our ethos is simple.....
We provide and host events that are FUN.
You Turn up and have FUN.
It’s that simple. It just so happens along the way through kind donations, contributions and good will we all pull together to raise money for this wonderful charity.
So, let’s have some FUN!
