Story

For those that don't know my dad died of Mesothelioma in August 2013. Mesothelioma UK is the charity I would like to raise money for, unfortunately it doesn't get the kind of attention or publicity that other cancers get but there has been an explosion of this type of cancer over the last few years and there is no cure for it at the present they are only able to halt it with medication.

Knowing the outcome that this terrible cancer has I desperately wanted to try and give something back to the charity that had tried to help my dad and our family, not only come to understand this disease but try and prolong the inevitable.

The number of people affected with this asbestos related cancer is rising and currently effects more than 2500 people a year in the UK. With no financial support from the government your sponsorship will allow mesothelioma UK to continue to provide information and support to both patients and their families with this disease. One of their long-term aims is to provide specialist nurses to all the high-risk areas in the UK. All the money raised will go directly to the charity and I would be very grateful for any given donations.

Saturday 20th June 2015 a group made up of family and friends will take to the road by cycling from Leicester to Skegness to raise money for Mesothelioma UK

The team of 20 riders is now complete these people are willing to ride with me in memory of my dad Geoff Argyle. Those people are: Rich Scott, Jake Morris, Ben Tyers, Rich Carpenter, Luke Morris, Nick Griffin, Jodi Pickering, Andy Henderson, Neil Platt, Jon Moon, Paul Saunders, Jon Stonebridge, Paul Curson, Matt Caswell, Jamie Aston, Scott Helmkay, Dan Stewart, Keeley Mcnulty-Argyle, Clare Scott and Steve Holley.

A big thank you to these riders who have given their time and effort to do this, hopefully as a team we will reach our target and more. If they have directed you here to sponsor them and the team please leave them a message of support that will hopefully spur them on.

Let the training begin!!!
