Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and the obvious question is what are you doing this for.

Sarah, Liz's middle daughter, has, since she was a small girl, always wanted to cycle across the States, and quite why anyone would want to do that has always been beyond me. However we have talked about it over the years, for my part never believing that it would happen and certainly I would not be involved. 

Exactly how I have become involved is a mystery but I am now a marginally reluctant participant in this 45 day exaggerated "jaunt "across eight states. 

An experience it will be, amongst other things I might be able to photograph the foundations being placed for  that ridiculous wall between Mexico and the States! One of my wistful hopes is that my rear end will support me over the 2895 miles without giving me too much trouble and allow me to sit down on the flight home!

Why TACT ? Liz and I have had a pretty intimate experience with fostering and more particularly adoption in that she was adopted at the very young age and subsequently we adopted our son Edward. Any organisation that supports and assists the children and foster/adoptive parents has my vote. 

It seemed a little churlish to be cycling all that way without the chance of a least benefiting somebody so with your help at least the strain and pain will be worthwhile
