I am going to shave my head on Sunday afternoon 28th August at Beermageddon Festival.  I will be raising funds for Rock Against Child Pornography and Abuse UK. See extract from their website below:

"We operate platforms within social media offering information on the issues surrounding child pornography, sexual abuse, and all forms of abuse within childhood, both in the cyber and real worlds. We share information concerning reporting of online abuse, inappropriate content or sexual exploitation of minors, including the risks of online grooming. We provide a safe and confidential first point of contact for victims of abuse through our experienced counsellor, who will gather information on a case by case basis with regard to local support groups, crisis centres, and child protection agencies. We also offer support to victims and their families through the process of reporting abuse and any proceedings that may follow."

They attend various rock/metal festivals up and down the country and are very approachable people.  The web address is www.racpauk.org 

They will have their info van at Beermageddon so you can also donate over the weekend too.  

This is not going to be easy for me as I love my long hair, but it will grow back.

It is also a tribute to quite a few of my friends and family who are going through, or have gone through losing their hair through treatment for cancer.  I know what I am doing is nothing like that, but I do it with love.  I just felt a small charity could really use the money for this.
