On Saturday 9th July 2016 our intrepid team of 9 riders and support vehicle driver are embarking on a challenge to cycle from Oundle to Huddersfield - 125 miles in a day - to celebrate 125 years of the Ellis Furniture business.

Why the route? As a family we have been associated with Oundle School for 3 generations and it seemed an appropriate place to start from that was 125 miles from the factory..... and it's flatter than the North of England!

I'm doing this for the the Huddersfield Town Foundation (which is nothing to do with the football club, other than being set up by Dean Hoyle the club's owner).  The foundation raises money to fund projects and initiatives that will directly benefit the young people of Huddersfield and the surrounding area, particularly those youngsters who need the support most.

The charity commits that no administration or business costs will be taken from the fundraising pot.

Additionally Ellis Furniture will match every pound donated and give the total to our nominated charity this year, The MS Society.  i.e. if each of the 9 riders raises £1,000 for their nominated charity, Ellis Furniture will donate £9,000 to The MS Society.
