Story

Hi everybody, thank you so much for taking the time to click on this link. I know Facebook can be inundated with these "just giving pleas" but if you feel you can afford a few quid and would like to help me it would be fantastic!

The Animal Sanctuary here in Antrim is a place I pass all the time and it always fills my heart with happiness when I see the happy dogs with wagging tails being taken out for walks with volunteers. They have found caring homes for 7,000 animals since they opened their doors in 1996. They have a strict NO KILL policy so their kennels are always full with over 70 dogs and 60 cats, as well as unwanted litters of puppies and kittens. Veterinary bills are over £50,000 per year, food and bills similarly high.

So in order to keep the doors open and keep the animals safe in the sanctuary until another home is found, they must raise £21,00 each month.

As you all know I love running; it's been a big part of my life over the past few years and has helped me in lots of ways. I also have a huge love for animals, they are so vulnerable in this crazy world we live in and we need to care for them. They give unconditional love always. So I thought why not combine both and try my best to raise some money for the Animal Sanctuary. There is no big pressure on me, just as much as I can raise, and they will be hugely thankful for it.

Thanks a million guys! I get so much support from my family and friends, it always spurs me on when I'm out running, means so much to me. Look out for me on May Day when I'll be running for these guys up in Belfast and high 5 me if you can haha...bye for now xxx
