The route has changed again so I'll be heading towards Paisley tomorrow and Hamilton on Tuesday
Forgetting the loneliness, walking alone gives you a perspective on life.
Many mistakes happen for a reason and become 'inspired decisions'.
Someone also told me to turn back today so I'm saving my legs again.
Initial route will incorporate the following locations (subject to change).I'm hoping to leave John o groats on 28th July and have a rest day every 6th day (again subject to change)
Any help with accommodation or shower facilities will be greatly appreciated if you're on or near to the route:John O'Groats WickDunbeath Helmsdale Golspie Morangie (Tain)Dingwall Inverness Invermoriston Invergarry Fort William Kinlochleven Tyndrum ArrocbarGartocharn Kilsyth Linlithgow Edinburgh Peebles Hawick Langolm Carlisle Penrith Kendal Lancaster Preston Wigan Northwich Stoke-on-Trent Telford Kidderminster Worcester Gloucester Thornbury Bristol (south)Bridgewater Wellington Tiverton Copplestone Okehampton Launceston Bodmin Newquay Portreath Marazion Lands EndInspired by my late wife's commitment to keep going I'm still on track to wobble my way to the place where we used to watch the sunset. It's probably a thousand miles too far but what's the point in doing something easy?An initial route has been planned but it's only a start. I'm walking the equivalent distance of a half marathon every day and although it might seem like small beans, it's at around an average of 70% of the real thing.
