Hiking was one of Dad’s great loves. Growing up we spent many happy family holidays walking in the Lake District, and in the 70’s he joined an expedition to K2 in the Himalayas.

More recently, Dad conquered Mount Kilimanjaro, a goal that he had long held and an experience that many of our family were able to enjoy sharing with him.

Over the last decade Dad has raised in excess of £10,000 for the Nepal Trust, and in addition to being a director of the Trust he travelled to Nepal in 2006 to personally oversee an important hydro-electric project that changed the lives of many people.
