Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) affects 5-10% of women. It affects many more aspects of women's lives than the name suggests. Not only does this illness cause cysts to form in the ovary, it can cause little to no ovulation/ infertility, hormone imbalances, acne, alopecia, weight issues, depression and many other problems.
In later life, PCOS can lead to Type 2 Diabetes, Endometrial Cancer, Heart Disease and Stroke.
Nothing about PCOS is black and white, many women experience different symptoms.
Although there is now more research in this area, many women and even Doctors still do not know a lot about this illness. Therefore, it is important to do everything we can in order to raise awareness and support these women in their fight against PCOS.

This is why the five of us have chosen to represent Verity in Tough Mudder on 11th September 2016.
Please give generously, any donation will be greatly appreciated, not only by ourselves but by this small but mighty charity.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity.
