Story
As many of you know, My beautiful loving wife Tracy recently passed away after a battle against Melanoma. Tracy was a lovely wife, mother , daughter and friend of many with a huge personality, infectious laugh and zest for life who touched the hearts of all who knew her.
All through her battle against this awful disease she never complained and always looked out for others - she held an afternoon tea party to raise awareness of Melanoma and also ran a stall at a school fete to try and get the word across about safety in the sun raising and encouraging family members to help to raise significant sums for her cause all this despite the ravages of the side effects of her treatment such was her determination to help rid the world of the scourge of cancer.
Tracy was taken from us way too young at 51 - in the 8 months from diagnosis to her sad passing she remained upbeat and concerned and determined that people should be made aware of safety in the sun - Tracy's cancer started from a small mole on her back over 10 years ago - which although treated at the time later returned elsewhere in her body and despite all the efforts of the superb doctors and oncologists at Queens, Whitechapel and St Barts, there was to be no miracle for us, but Tracy has asked that I carry on the fight in her name which of course I will.
Tracy was my soul mate, my wife and mother to our wonderful son Alexander our loss merely magnifies the pain that Tracy felt and endured and increases our resolve to raise money to ensure that one day people do not have to bear such pain and loss
This second cause we are raising funds for is a local charity which makes tangible differences to the lives of under privileged children - it really does help make major changes to the outlook and prospects of children whose lives would be much bleaker without the input of its many volunteers and fund raisers - it was a cause that Tracy also dedicated her time to even during her illness
Please donate to our cause - any amount is fine as every penny will make a difference to a child enduring anxiety, poverty or a less optimistic future than the one many of us take for granted
