Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit this page that we have created in memory of our Dad, Trev.
Dad was unexpectedly diagnosed early in 2012 with Pancreatic Cancer - for those of you that don't know, this is an aggressive and cruel disease and of around 8,000 people who get it in the UK each year, only a handful recover.
Despite Dad's trademark humour, positivity and tough Hartlepool genes, the chemo he endured did little to change the end result and the time he had left was less than we could have imagined. But he fought right to the end in a way that only he could.
Dad really wanted to be cared for at home, and this was made possible by the amazing support of the team at Compton Hospice and with additional help from district nurses who visited several times a day. Dad passed away peacefully in the house that shares so many happy Scarratt family memories, and along with Mum, we were there with him.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to Compton Hospice and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
We'd like to thank you for your support and friendship to Dad over the years and hope that you can dig deep to support this fantastic cause.
