Story
Dr Grace Kodindo is Chad's most prestigious obstetrician - and a woman I am honoured to count amongst my warm friends - she supplies her considerable skills to the women of Chad, and is in every way the kind of human being that raises the hopes and hearts of everyone she meets.
You get the picture - she's bloody brilliant.
She doesn't get the picture though, not right now, because her eyesight is steadily failing and so she needs an operation on her eyes to return her to the hawk-eyed medic her fans have come to know and love.
I'd like to raise half the cost of this procedure - which comes to 500
I'm always asking you all to support my fundraising efforts so I realise I need to raise my game this time around . . . so . . .
If I can raise my target of 500 I will attend a local spray tan boutique, shave my horrible body and ask for a "Triple-Henson" - a spray tan THREE TIMES WORSE than Gavin Henson's most luminous past misdemeanours
If I can raise 4/5 of my target of 500, ie 400 I will attend a local spray tan boutique, shave my horrible body and ask for a "Double-Henson" - a spray tan TWO TIMES WORSE than Gavin Henson's most regrettable bronzing botch-jobs
If I can raise 3/5 of my target of 500, ie 300 I will attend a local spray tan boutique, shave my horrible body and ask for a "Full-Henson" - a spray tan as odiously Del Monte and calamitous as Gavin Henson's most sickening hi-vis orange retina buster
Grace is going into surgery tomorrow - I would like to be a preposterous colour for when she gets the bandages removed so I can tell her I've always been that colour and the surgery has merely scrubbed misapprehension from her gaze . . .
So - who wants me to be an utter fool and become the Guinness Book of Records "tallest Oompa Loompa"?
Giving Grace good eyes will have more roll on positive consequences than almost any cause I can think of - please support this fundraiser
