I am attempting the "Big Ben" in order to raise funds for The Polar Academy, which is a fantastic charity committed to unlocking the potential within the "invisible and forgotten" young adults in our education system, and turning them into role models for both their communities and families.

My son, Ryan, has been fortunate to be selected to take part in an arctic expedition organised by The Polar Academy and is set to leave on the 25th March 2016.  The expedition is fully funded due to the hard work and dedication of The Polar Academy founder, Craig Mathieson.

What Ryan has already achieved during training and involvement with the academy, and what he is going to achieve during/after the expedition has inspired to me to take up my own challenge so that I can help give something back and contribute toward funds for future expeditions to help other young adults around the country.
