Story
Myself and Rob decided in September that we needed a challenge and a reason to get back into the gym. This then turned into the idea of lets run a marathon after Rob heard an advert on the radio. Once we signed up, we fully realised quite how far a marathon is. Therefore, we decided it would be a good idea to do it for charity as an extra bit of motivation on those days that it is hard to motivate ourselves to train. We are fundraising for my sisters charity The Charlotte Hartey Foundation, more details are below about what the charity does. The target is to raise £100 per mile that we run, so any contribution whether it be large or small will be greatly appreciated and will be put to great use. Every pound donated goes to the charity.
About the foundation:
The Foundation provides local financial resources in the form of gifts to youth clubs, schools and organisations.
We fund structured, purposeful projects and ventures in and around Shropshire and Cheshire, giving youths the opportunity of reaching their full potential.
We have supported many projects that have positively impacted many groups of people within the community we have donated to date over £25,000 to:
Team funding, Sports equipment and kits, Charity fundraising activities, School projects, Guides, Scouts and Youth Clubs.
