A stroke has been likened to an earthquake in the brain' and the effect on the life of the person who has had the stroke, and on their family, can seem as disruptive as an earthquake.
In an instant, every aspect of daily life can be affected and it can be hard to come to terms with the sudden changes in your life. A stroke can cause physical, emotional and social upheaval for the affected person as well as for family and friends.
Stroke affects everyone differently. Some of the problems are, paralysis (usually down one side of the body), language difficulties, forgetfulness and changes to eyesight, to name just a few. There are many other possible effects.
Back in 2012 a very close family friend of Trojan suffored a major Stoke, Mike who was just 34 at the time, unfortunately had most of the symptoms named above, but after nearly 3 years On and on the road to recovery, Mike still has his awesome qualities, great charm, huge smile, witty and a legendary sense of humour this has caused a huge effects on his life and others and we want to do our upmost to help mile and his family and others in this situation
