EEHV is a deadly virus that affects young elephants both in zoos and in the wild. 80% of elephants struck by EEHV will die. Your donation will help us fight the disease as we search for a cure.

Story

EEHV is a deadly virus which affects young elephants typically around weaning age. Chester Zoo have lost five young elephants to EEHV, most recently female calf Bala, followed just six weeks later by playmate Hari just before his third birthday.

We wanted to do something to help find a cure for EEHV so we decided to sign up for Born Survivor, a ridiculous obstacle course designed by the Royal Marine Commandos which looks absolutely awful.

So come 24th September, we'll be donning lycra and dragging each other through the challenge, probably literally. Please give us a few quid to help us on our way so we can find a cure quicker.
