Story

Our Christmas Appeal for 2011 focuses on children affected by the famine in East Africa.

Tuesday's Child recently returned from visiting projects for children in Marasabit, Lodwar and Wajr in Northern Kenya and the Somalian border. We distributed, fortified food, milk, clean water and mosquito nets thanks to donations from our donors.

Children here face a huge struggle for survival - starvation, disease, homelessness and now war. It doesn't get harder than this for children.

We purchased all supplies locally in Kenya and your donation can go along way. Just £3 can buy a mosquito net and with malaria rampant and an outbreak of Dengue fever in Northern Kenya, these are essential. Just £5 can buy a weekly carton of milk for a child for one year and £10 can provide a daily bowl of porridge at school. Check our our appeal leaflet for other life saving gifts this Christmas for children in East Africa.

Tuesday's Child takes no salaries or administration costs. Everything we receive, we give.

Please make a donation this Christmas and make a real difference to the life of even one child.

Tuesday's Child xx
