They rely on donations from members of the public to carry out this essential life-saving rescue service.
Central Beacons Mountain Rescue Team operates in the Brecon Beacons National Park incorporating Pen y Fan and surrounding areas of Mid Wales and South Wales. They have been supporting the communities of Mid and South Wales since 1963.
Our challenge will be to complete the Welsh three peaks (Snowdon, Cadair Idris and Pen-Y-Fan) to help raise funds to replace their mobile communication vehicle, affectionately known as 'Alpha'. The cost to replace Alpha is estimated at £100,000.
This is a steep challenge but not as steep as the Three Peaks!!
