Story
The Bridge Academy is a mixed, non-denominational school for 11-18 year olds, specialising in mathematics and music. 64% of Bridge students are eligible for Free School Meals (FSMs) and for 40% English is an additional language - 13% is the national average.
The Bridge Academy is situated in the London Borough of Hackney, the second most deprived local authority in the UK.

In an average Hackney classroom, eight students will be living in poverty, seven will have witnessed physical violence, six will have been exposed to drug and alcohol abuse, one student will not be living with their birth family and one will be caring for a sick adult.
