Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
The Geography students at the University of Glocuestershire are visiting Sinai as part of their course in May 2012. This project is to raise funds to cover the costs of our two day construction project to build a water retention wall in the mountains of Sinai to ensure that a Bedouin community we are visiting have water for a longer period during the dry season. This will ensure water for orchards and for washing and drinking in a very dry part of the world. The families will be able to stay with their orchards and gain a livelihood from them. We will leave a lasting legacy in exchange for their hospitality and time with us.
We held a successful 'Dam Good Cake Sale' on 14th December, raising £120 and we are planning the 'Dam Good Ball for the 24th February at the Cheltenham Park Hotel. But donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the Makhad Trust (a registered charity based in Cheltenham, with whom we are planning the project). JustGiving will make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s a very efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
You can help us to help them. So please dig deep and donate now.
