Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
2016 will be my year.......for many it will, but for a homeless person every minute, every hour, every day, every month, every year.........just existing in anyway they can.
In 2015 I met a homeless couple in Brighton whilst walking back to my hotel. It was so so cold that night in April that I couldn't even comprehend a night on the streets let alone a lifetime, so to make myself feel better knowing my warm snug bed awaited me, I decided I give them some money. I said to her "I feel for you so much it's so very cold", she replied with "it's fine at least it's dry". As I walked away I couldn't get this moment out of my head, so I went back to give her some more money, I gave her £20, the look on her face was life changing and she said "because of me tonight, her and her partner could spend a night in temporary accommodation for £10 each".
I have always felt for the homeless what ever their circumstances may be, so I thought what can I do to try and help ?
I had just watched the Brighton marathon in person the day before and suddenly it clicked......I applied and found a charity called "Justlife" a dedicated charity in Brighton for the homeless.
So.......2016 will be my year, with your help, I will be running 26.2 miles in the Brighton marathon for "Justlife", they offer people a drop in centre, a square meal, someone to talk to and much more. A
Everyone deserves life, a second chance even......so my family and friends I ask one small ask, sponsor me any amount you can and change someone's life today. I'm about to change mine and run my first ever marathon trying to help the homeless......much love and thanks V xxxxxxx
