We teach people with movement disorders to achieve a higher level of potential

Story

Three colleagues have decided that we need to take action and get healthier!

So, we are going to lose 55lbs (between the three of us) until Christmas!!! We hope to raise £1000 between us to help the support the amazing charity where we all work.

To spur us all on we are asking you to sponsor us; every donation will make a difference! In that way you are making us keep to the straight and narrow and we can raise much needed funds for NICE as well!

NICE needs to raise £600K per year to keep our services going. We see first-hand the increasing need for our unique, life changing approach at NICE. Many people with long term movement problems do not receive regular therapy or support. Frequently help is only offered at times of crisis. At NICE, We do not believe that people should reach this point before getting help so we provide long term services for everyone with a long term condition.

Although our aim is the same, we all have different stories and motivations. Please read them below!

Vanda:

Hello Everyone,

I have been a conductor at NICE for 7 years. As some of you may know I stopped smoking about a year ago which was not the easiest thing to do. As most of you might have noticed due to this, I have become a ‘little cuddlier’ than I would like to be. Losing weight or maintaining an appropriate weight to my height has always been a BIG challenge for me!! However I am determined to lose some weight and be even healthier. In order to achieve this I am going to Slimming World, Zumba classes twice a week and taking long walks 3-4 times a week.

I would like to ask for your help and support in conquering one of the biggest challenges in my life!

Sue:

I have been a conductor here at NICE since June.

Whilst being a student here at NICE I found I eat chocolate…..LOTS AND LOTS to help with my studies and put weight on.

I decided to stop, get fit and hope to raise a little money to help our charity here at NICE in the process.

To do this I will TRY to eat healthy foods. Exercise by swimming, aqua aerobics and dog walking.

Hope you can join me!!!!

Sue

Melissa:

Hey J My name is Melissa. I have been a Conductor here for 2 years. Next year I will be the maid of honour at my aunties wedding which is on the 16 July 2016. So I am looking to shred a few pounds for the big day and doing it this way is a great motivation.  I will be cycling, jogging and joining a kickboxing group.

Please support us in whatever way you can! Thank you!

Melissa

If anyone wants to join in the sponsored diet with us then please let us know we would be glad of the company and additional motivation!!!
