Story
For those of you who know, I have always run for Mind, however this year I have chosen to run specifically for the Brighton and Hove center. They are independent and receive no funding from the National Mind charity so I'd love to raise as much as I can.
We all know and truly love someone who struggles with their Wellbeing and Mental Health; Brighton and Hove Mind offer a whole range of services to help them feel better about themselves and be in charge of their own recovery. I want to do as much as I can to protect the ones I love and help them receive support and assistance as quickly as possible.
In addition to raising money for Mind, I would also like to dedicate my 2016 Marathon to my Mum, Jane.
Late last year my darling Mum was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. I watched her tackle the illness with immense strength and determination and I'm delighted to say that she made a full recovery.
I am so proud of you Mum, you have been my inspiration on long winter training runs and when I cross that finish line my Marathon medal is yours to keep.
This is my gift to you, a symbol of love and strength.
