Story
In memory of our dear friend and colleague Vanessa Hardman, we will be holding a 5K run in Battersea Park. We thought Vanessa would certainly approve of a bit of exercise and fresh air followed by a glass of fizz - two things she really enjoyed.
The run will take place on Thursday 20 October and we will walk or run two 2.5K laps round the park. We hope the run will help us to continue to raise money for Guy's and St Thomas' Cancer Centre, where Vanessa received treatment. Your support is much appreciated.

Vanessa very sadly passed away on Sunday 17 July after a brave battle with cancer. All those who knew Vanessa could not fail to be touched by her spirit, optimism and the pure energy with which she faced life. She really was the brightest of lights and will be greatly missed by her family, friends and colleagues.
Vanessa received outstanding care from Guy's and St. Thomas' hospital for her treatment. The care, commitment and kindness shown by all the staff at Guy's and St. Thomas' was truly humbling. Therefore in honour of Vanessa and as a thank you to the consultants, doctors, nurses and staff at the Guy's and St. Thomas' cancer centre we would ask people to make a donation to the Guy's and St. Thomas' appeal to build a new cancer centre.
