As some of you may know Barbara's granddaughter, Lily, has Erb's Palsy. It is a condition where the nerves supplying the arms have been severed and torn during birth, which results in reduced or little movement in the arm affected and is a life-long disability.

The Erb's Palsy Group is a small charity, who have been a great support to the family since Lily was born. Their aim is to support families and children with the condition but part of their work is also to try and prevent this happening to other babies by educating doctors and midwives.

Barbara would like to help to support this small charity in their work in the future and has asked for donations to the group rather than receiving gifts for her 70th Birthday.
