Viv died on 16 September, 6 and a half years after she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. In that time, her and Mick made the most of every day; travelling to USA to visit family and driving all over Europe in their lovely motorhome Stella. 

She was very insistent that she wasn't "fighting cancer" (although she did put up a pretty good fight!), but that her and Mick were still living their lives along with cancer. Their positivity was remarkable and she kept on going when many people would have given up. 

It was Viv's request that any money given in her memory should be donated to cancerwise, a small charity in Chichester which helps cancer patients and their families. She met many new friends there and enjoyed the treatments and advice that were provided.
