Story

As usual the West Byfleet Nursery & Schools’ Team are taking part in the Woking & Sam Beare Hospice Midnight Walk. This year we are walking in memory of our beautiful friend, Karen Johnson, who died last year.

Karen was incredibly strong, brave and determined not to give in, right to the very end of her journey. The last few years of Karen’s life were in palliative care, as she and her family prepared for her death. This latter part was aided by the fabulous support of Woking and Sam Beare Hospices. The hospices, in Woking and Weybridge provided much needed advice and counselling to Karen, her husband and their young boys.

Without these wonderful charities the palliative care and end of life experience would be far more frightening and difficult for people to handle. Please help us to raise as much as we can to ensure this support and all the additional services the hospices provide can continue and grow.
Thank you.
