Story
As some of you may know, I've been involved with Joeys Legacy Boxer Rescue Liverpool for a few years now. I started to support this charity through the love I had for my own Boxer, 'George Lamb'; to help keep his memory alive and because I realised that not all dogs are treated with the absolute love and devotion that he was.
Thanks to the generosity of a very kind lady who left money to the rescue in her will, JLBRL has been able to purchase a piece of land with the dream of building their very own kennels. In just the last 3 years they have spent £51,000 in boarding fees! So, I want to help them in any way I can to raise money and will be running the Ladies Liverpool 10K. I've not run this distance for some while, so it will certainly be a challenge, but what will get me to the finish line is knowing I can help the rescue!
Please, please can you help me to raise money for this charity? They receive no government funding and the charity is run solely by volunteers. I've gladly supported lots of charities and individuals over the years but have never raised money by myself - if I'm very honest, I am not comfortable with asking for money, even though it's for a fantastic cause! But, I'm asking now! Please can you help?
Thank you to everyone for reading this. If you are not able to donate at this time, perhaps you can help in the future? You could visit the JLBRL website to donate or maybe even help in fostering or adopting one of their dogs.
Thanks again.
