Most of my friends know I have recently been successfully treated for Throat Cancer.  What they may not know is that my treatment type has been part of a medical research trial at the Leicester Royal Infirmary, funded by the HOPE AGAINST CANCER charity.

Hope Against Cancer is Leicestershire and Rutland's local cancer research charity.  Established in 2003 to bring cutting edge research to the area making clinical trials available to local people.

I understand most of you will not live in the locality but their research is shared with hospitals across the country. 

Every year the Westfield Sports Car Club, Derby and Notts area, of which I am an active member, nominate a charity and this year we have chosen Hope Against Cancer.
