On Saturday 6th July 2013 we will be celebrating our civil partnership!  

In lieu of gifts, we wanted to give guests an option to donate to our chosen charity, Opening Doors London. We're super excited for the big day and can't wait to see you all. Please give generously so that we can leave a legacy that goes beyond us!

Opening Doors London (ODL) from Age UK, with Age UK Camden as the lead agency, and in partnership with Age UKs across London, is the biggest project providing information and support services to and with older lesbian, gay, bisexual and / or transgender (OLGBT) people in the UK. 

The Opening Doors London project provides a range of services and activites for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) people over 50 in London. It aims to improve the social well-being and mental health for LGBT by reducing isolation and providing increased support for individuals from LGBT communities so that they can remain independent and live at home for longer.  It also raises awareness of older LGBT people within other statutory and voluntary agencies. 

ODL holds regular social activies, provides telephone advice and recruits volunteers to befriend older LGBT people.  They also work with Local Authorities and other Social Care Providers to ensure that the services they provide are truly inclusive and appropriate for older LGBT people.
