Story
We are really excited to be undertaking this challenge to raise funds for WellChild, the national charity for sick children.
Along with a group of friends, we're aiming to summit Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa and the highest free standing mountain in the world, in October 2016.
Together, as team "Dusk till Dawn Africa", we are trying to raise £25,000 for WellChild from this challenge. We are all self-funding the trip, so everything that we raise will go straight to the charity and will help to make a real difference to the lives of children with complex health issues and their families. Please visit our team page to see how we are progressing towards our target.
We aim to cajole and encourage each other (& other members of the WellChild team) to reach the summit with the overall aim to raise money for WellChild.
WellChild provide essential practical and emotional support for children with complex health issues and those who care for them across the UK to ensure they receive the best possible quality of care. WellChild have recently celebrated 10 years of their Nurses programme; to learn more about the charity, please visit their website:

We fly out to Tanzania in late October 2016, however before then we will be fine tuning our fitness with training walks in the Brecon Beacons, the Yorkshire Dales & for at least one of us, on various golf courses around the country!
Any contribution that you can make will be very gratefully received and your donations will be a massive encouragement to keep us on the road to the summit ... you'll be making a big difference to the lives of many children with complex health issues and their families.
We are also planning a number of fundraising events, so look out for further details of these over the coming months.
A big thank you from us but more importantly a big thank you from everyone at WellChild and the families they support.
