Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
This year I am embarking on my first marathon attempt and where else would you bother but your home venue, where the greatest supporters in the world will be out in force. With cumulatively less than 30% of the original cartilage left in my knees I think it is fair to say it could be a struggle..
I have been privileged enough to be given a place by Charterhouse in Southwark to support and raise money for them, a fantastic cause and one which I have supported historically through work for one of their initiatives, The Pembroke Mission, some years back. The charity itself largely supports children and young people in Southwark who, at the lower end of the economic spectrum, have very little opportunity to experience the cultural, educational, artistic and sporting experiences that the majority of us probably take for granted. It is clear from a number of the personal stories, from local kids football clubs and the like, that the Charity connects with young people on a personal level and therefore that it makes an immediate and discernible impact.
I would be very grateful if you would show your support with me in donating just a little help make a difference for this community - anything is hugely appreciated.
