Story
On Sunday a member of the public rushed a young cat to our veterinary clinic after finding him collapsed in the street - we believe he had been run over. Our veterinary team quickly assessed the young cat, treated him for shock and worked to stabilise him overnight.
Following x-rays on Monday morning it became clear that poor (newly named) Wilson had a shattered pelvis and a fractured leg, and he needed urgent surgery. Due to the fact that we had three fracture repairs scheduled for surgery the next day, we had to find urgent help to make Wilson comfortable.
One of the vets who helps us when we have a number of outstanding fracture repairs offered to carry out the operation for us, at a drastically reduced cost of £800 (this would normally be in the region of £2,000-£3,000 at a private vet). However, even this cost is difficult for us to manage at this time.
We are struggling with the sheer number of cats who need us, and our resources are being stretched further every single day.
Wilson is a young and friendly cat, no older than 2 years old, who has his whole life ahead of him and we want to ensure that it is as happy and healthy as possible. We desperately need you to help cover the cost of this essential surgery and ensure that Wilson can regain his health and find a permanent and loving home, when he’s ready.
All donations, large or small, would be hugely appreciated and
will make a real difference to young Wilson’s life.
Wilson sends grateful purrs and love to you all
