Story

After a year of plotting and planning Bob and I are crossing the Atlantic.

This is an enormous (and rather scary) challenge but I want to use this testing adventure to raise funds for the Rowdeford Charity Trust Vocational Training Project.  Our endeavours will help give children with special needs a better chance at an independent future when they leave the sanctuary of school.

We are setting off from Puerto Mogan, Gran Canaria on December 10th 2011 and hoping to arrive somewhere in the Caribbean in January 2012.  You might like to guess when we reach land so put in the the day and time to the nearest 10minutes that you think we will arrive.  (eg 3rd January between 1320 and 1330).

If you want to track our progress then follow us on our
blog:
 blog.mailasail.com/windcharger.

So please help us to help children with special needs by donating now - and have some fun guessing our arrival time!

About the charity

We raised £1million in ten years to develop facilities at Rowdeford School for pupils with complex learning difficulties. They leave school full of confidence, but do not often find work, so we are now creating an Eco Learning Centre to equip them with skills to enhance their employment prospects.
