Story

Hi Friends and Family,

We are raising money for Camp Simcha by joining their ‘Conquer the Canyon’ campaign – hiking through the Grand Canyon at the end of May to raise much needed funds for children with life threatening illnesses.

Sharon having volunteered at the organisation, has seen first hand the impact a child’s spirit and happiness plays in their recovery process. Camp Simcha organise for each child to be paired with a 'Big Brother/Big Sister' who visits weekly and showers the child with much needed fun and excitement - a perfect distraction to the rest of their week. Camp Simcha also run yearly retreats where the children together with their siblings and parents are treated to a weekend away so that they can feel like a ‘regular’ family again, just for a short time.

In addition, Camp Simcha provide emotional and financial support – a greater insight into the wonderful work they do can be seen at www.campsimcha.co.uk

We are looking to raise at least £6,000 for Camp Simcha and plan to cover our costs to ensure that all donations will go directly to Camp Simcha’s amazing work.

As the London marathon this year is on Pesach this year (no, we were not going to do that!), this will be the main fundraising campaign so we ask that you give generously!

Donations can be made here, alternatively charity cheques
can be dropped of at 15a Highcroft Gardens.

Thanks so much in advance! And wish us luck!
