Story

I have been involved in fundraising for this charity since it was founded in 2012. I came to know Johanna & her family through one of my best friends, Margaret Maclean, who is Jo's Auntie. I am delighted to be involved in such a wonderful charity, Rainbow Valley's vision is truly empowering to all those living with cancer. Like many of us, I have lost family members to this disease. I will be doing this run not only to raise money for RV, but also in memory of lost loved ones.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Your donations will be very gratefully received.

"Rainbow Valley is inspired by the vision of Johanna MacVicar, who in 1994, at age 16 years was diagnosed with Leukaemia. After an 11 year battle, Johanna sadly lost her fight against the illness. Johanna’s mother, Angela, together with family & friends have created the charitable organisation Rainbow Valley, to bring Johanna’s dream to fruition." (Rainbow Valley, 2013)
