A MASSIVE THANK YOU for all of your donations.

On Friday the 12^th of June at 11 o’clock I had all my hair chopped off at Headway Southampton’s day service, Grade 1 all over!

It was an amazing day as you will see from the photos. The hairdresser Etlin did a brilliant job and all the staff and service users were amazingly fun and welcoming.

Headway Southampton encourages, assists and supports people with an acquired brain injury to participate in activities that help them recover their independence and confidence and continue their rehabilitation.

The money you have raised will help to finance the cost of providing activities such as these. Some of the money will go towards this year’s Headway Holiday on the Isle of Wight in September. This holiday provides a really valuable opportunity for services users to experience life in a different way with support from staff and volunteers from Headway Southampton.

Hello you all!

I am shaving my head to raise money for Headway Southampton in aid of Hats for Headway Day which takes place on the 22nd May. Headway Southampton is a fantastic charity that rehabilitates adults with acquired brain injuries. 

The staff at Headway Southampton do amazing work with their service users to build cognitive functioning, confidence and new skills. However, like so many charities funding is a constant struggle therefore they need help to continue in their great work. 

Acquired brain injury covers all situations in which brain injury has occurred since birth, and includes traumatic brain injury as well as tumour, stroke, brain haemorrhage and encephalitis, to name a few. It can happen to anyone - suddenly and completely changing their lives.

A Bald Move will be filmed for everyone's entertainment and the process will be done in stages so you can vote for your favourite style. Suggestions for hair styles during the shaving process welcome! 

So please donate generously as this is for an amazing cause. Think about what you would spend on a round in the pub, and spend it on a round for Headway!
