Hi, we are Adam Bernstein and Maya Behrman. We're cousins who live in New York and Cape Town and we're celebrating our joint Bnei Mitzvah in December. For our bar/bat mitzvah tzedaka project we are raising money for Ikamva Labantu, a South African charity that helps orphans, children in underdeveloped communities, and senior citizens. They support over 1,000 orphans in foster care, 12,000 pre-school children, and over 500 senior citizens.

We have climbed Table Mountain, in Cape Town. We would like to raise money to buy backpacks and prepare them for the kids that need them, so they can have the supplies they need the for next school year. Each backpack costs $40 (£25, R415). Please support us to help the kids.
