Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our (Ali, Ellie, Alex, Mel & Gem) JustGiving page.

In memory of Nats we have set ourselves a couple of sporting challenges for 2014:

1. Tough Mudder; a couple of us (Ali, Ellie, Alex & Gem) have signed up to the grueling event which consists of running 13 miles, but at every mile there is an obstacle which has to be completed, this could be electric shock, monkey bars, climbing walls, ice water etc. We will be doing this at the end of April.

2. Three Peaks; a couple of the us hockey girls (Ali, Ellie, Alex, Gem, Lizzie & Mel) have decided to climb the 3 peaks over 48 hours in August.

3. London Triathlon; I will be taking on the challenge of the olympic distance triathlon, aiming to beat my previous time, in June.

4. Dragon Boat Race; The hockey girls and their other halves have signed up to  the annual event that takes place on the 20th July at the Kingston Rotary Club on the Thames. There will be a maximum of 52 teams competing throughout the day all building up to an 8 boat final.....COME ON MID SURREY LADIES!!!

5. Gem and I have also just signed up for the London Duathlon, where you run 10k - bike 44k - run 5k. This will be taking placing on the 14th September in Richmond Park.

6. 20 Mile walk from Hampton Court along the river tow path down to Wandsworth Bridge. Mel will be taking on the 20 mile walk on Saturday 24th May, due to knee injuries Mel cannot run, so decided a walking challenge was a good alternative.

That is it for now....but watch this space, you never know another challenge could be added!!!!

I know Nats would have loved to have taken on all these challenges, so it feels fitting to be doing them in memory of her and at the same time raising money for the NKM Trust. Nats memory is most definitely what will be driving us through each of the events.
