Please help me to raise money for The Carers’ Centre; an independent charity providing information, advice, respite, and support to local families who are caring for someone who is ill or disabled. Your sponsorship will help give carers a much needed break and help them to manage looking after someone.

Two years ago, on May 12th, my father Fred died suddenly from two severe strokes. He was a proud and intelligent man, always headstrong and independent, yet had he survived he would have needed constant care. 

In addition to this, on June the 1st it would have been my cousin Ashley's birthday. Another intelligent and independent man in my life, who sadly passed after fighting a particularly aggressive cancer. I was able to see the impact this had on family who were caring for him in their home.

It goes without saying that being a carer is an incredibly difficult role, as is being cared for. The Carer's Centre does fantastic work to make their time just that bit easier. I am hoping to raise as much as possible to go towards this very worthy cause.
