We provide the best possible care to those suffering with a terminal illness

Story

My father Ivor Wood passed away last year from prostate cancer. The last few months of his life were painful and distressing for him and all who loved him. Compton Hospice in Wolverhampton made a huge difference and I would greatly appreciate your donations to enable them to continue to do this for other families. To encourage donations I’ve set myself a challenge that I hope you will feel fitting. For three months I will give up Four of my favourite things:

1. Lager, wine, all forms of alcohol

2. Chips, crisps, pizza, naan bread, poppadoms etc.

3. Chocolate, ice cream, sweets or deserts of any kind

4. News Flash CURRY is now off the menu!

If I falter you will see a £5 donation from me each time acknowledging my guilt! As donations have exceed£500 I will make the ultimate sacrifice and also stop eating curry! In addition to the above I have entered a weight loss contest with a few like minded individuals I work with. To add a bit of spice the loser has to donate £600 to a charity nominated by the winner. The winner will also donate £200 to his selected charity, with all other competitors donating an amount between £200 and £600 depending upon what they lose. If I win I add this to whatever we raised by approaching individuals like you. If you fancy joining me in three months of sacrifice the Just Giving site is easy to use and Compton Hospice is a very deserving long standing charity. My thanks.
