Story

"Overcoming poverty is not a gesture of charity. It is an act of justice. It is the protection of a fundamental human right, the right to dignity and a decent life."

- Nelson Mandela

"And whoever saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of the entire people."
 Holy Quran, 5:35

First and foremost we thank you for visiting our Just giving page and taking the time to read this appeal AMALL meaning HOPE.

This year by the grace of God we are embarking upon a journey to visit the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein (as) the grandson of the Holy Prophet (saww).

Karbala in Iraq is small city where millions of pilgrims visit every year to pay their respect.
A small group of friends have decided to walk 80km to Karbala from Najaf and raise money to help the poor orphans in Iraq.

We would therefore like to request you as a friend to help us in this noble cause and donate however much you would like.

Did you know:-
-One in every seven Iraqi is a Orphan
-£30 will feed, clothe and educate a child for a month

Mother of five orphans stated: “I was eagerly awaiting the stipend as I accumulated a debt of $24 to the grocer as I was buying the food from him to feed my children since I had no money to pay him”.

Lady Fatemah Trust

The Lady Fatemah Trust is a non-profit, non-governmental and faith-based humanitarian organisation whose mission is to empower the world's poorest to lift them out of poverty with dignity. We believe that the eradication of poverty is not only a matter of conscience; it is a prerequisite for the security and prosperity of humanity at large and that freedom from poverty is a fundamental human right.

The charity's primary purpose is to undertake manageable and sustainable projects that can make a real difference to individuals and communities, enabling them to improve their lives. We help people in need to reduce their dependence on humanitarian aid and facilitate their transition to sustainable self-reliant, long-term development.
