Story
'Even the smallest of feet have the power to leave everlasting footprints upon this world.' Lisa Clarke
Our beautiful baby girl, Amelie Noa Hoffman, was tragically delivered stillborn via an emergency cesarean on Wednesday 16th October 2013 at just under 40 weeks.
The pain of losing a child is unbearable but through the support of our dear family and friends, we are slowly starting to regain our strength and look to a more positive future.
Sadly, 11 babies are stillborn and six newborn babies die on a daily basis in the UK. In one in three cases of stillbirth, the cause for the baby’s death is unclear. This is largely because we don’t fully understand the reasons and so more research is desperately needed to help future families avoid this horrific loss.
In memory of Amelie, we are hoping to raise as much money as we can for Tommy’s, a charity that funds research into the causes of stillbirth, miscarriage and premature birth. Every penny helps them continue their important work so that fewer people will have to experience the heartache and tragedy that we have sadly suffered.
Donating through Just Giving is simple, fast and totally secure. Once you donate, they will send your money directly to the charity and ensure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
A huge thank you in advance from the bottom of our hearts,
Anna and Jez Hoffman
